The most important, endurant learning point for unit 1 was the virus. This really stuck out for me because it showed me that even the smallest of flu’s can cause your whole system to go into an attack mode. The real life situation that made me understand this was when I was little I had strep throat in my eyes ears and throat.

This website helped me understand viruses a bit more because it helped me understand that although a virus might be really serious. It can cause you to die. It helped me understand that a virus can be a problem for plants, animals and humans. Some viruses consist of either protein, lipid or glycoprotein.

This website helped me understand viruses a bit more because it said that some viruses don’t have a membrane in which surrounds it. I learned that human viruses cannot grow in food. I never knew that a virus couldn’t grow in food. I never knew that a plant virus depended on a break in the cell wall in order for it to infect the plant.

“Chapter 14” The virus that works backwords
In this chapter it states that “viruses can cause cancer”. I found this very interesting in the fact that I never knew that a virus could cause cancer. I enjoyed learning about this. I now understand that sometimes a virus can cause more bodily harm on you than good.
